Stay current, stay confident, and continue supporting mental wellbeing.

Refresh Your MHFA Skills and Stay Certified

Aimed at empowering Mental Health First Aiders® who have completed the two-day MHFA course within the last three years, this four-hour in-person refresher session is designed to update your knowledge and give you the opportunity to practise your skills in a supportive environment.

This course is a great way to demonstrate your ongoing commitment to treating mental and physical health equally—whether in the workplace or out in the community.

You’ll reaffirm your listening skills, learn how to offer reassurance, and respond with confidence—even in a crisis. The training also helps you recognise early warning signs of mental illness and reminds you how to approach and support someone while keeping your own safety in mind.

Please note: All MHFA England Instructor Members are accredited by the Royal Society of Public Health.

You must be 18+ to attend this course.

This course is available only for those living or working within the Plymouth community.

By completing the course, you’ll continue to be a certified MHFAider® with a three-year qualification, plus access to ongoing support and exclusive benefits.
