We offer competitively priced Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training for businesses and community groups across Plymouth. This essential training helps create safer, more supportive environments by equipping individuals with the skills to recognise and respond to mental health challenges.
Empower your team or community with the knowledge and confidence to support mental wellbeing.

Why Mental Health First Aid Matters?
Regardless of background, identity, or employment status, anyone can experience mental health challenges at some point in their life. Just as learning physical First Aid is essential to prevent further harm during injuries or emergencies, Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is equally important to protect and support mental wellbeing.
MHFA training does not teach you to become a therapist. Instead, it equips you with the skills to identify, understand, and assist someone experiencing a mental health issue. You’ll learn how to listen effectively, offer reassurance, and respond confidently — even in a crisis. In many cases, you may be able to prevent a crisis by recognising early warning signs of mental illness.
Through MHFA, you’ll also develop the confidence to approach and support others while maintaining your own safety. The training empowers you to promote positive wellbeing in your workplace and community, and to challenge stigma surrounding mental health in the wider world.
Please note: All MHFA England Instructor Members are accredited by the Royal Society of Public Health.
You must be 18+ to attend this course.
This course is available only for those living or working within the Plymouth community.
By completing the course, you’ll become a certified MHFAider® with a three-year qualification, plus access to ongoing support and exclusive benefits.
